Impaired driver caught passed out in Port au Port Sunday evening

    The 32-year-old man was taken to hospital, treated and released.

    Four impaired drivers were stopped by RCMP throughout the province this past weekend including one Bay St. George. On Sunday just after 7:45 p.m., police responded to a driver who was unconscious in his vehicle outside a Port au Port business. The 32-year-old man was taken to hospital, treated and released. He was charged with impaired operation and given a ticket for a suspended license. Police seized and impounded the vehicle and the man is due to appear in court during August.
