Happy Labour Day!

    Labour Day acknowledges the tireless efforts of workers and their highly valued work, which form the foundation of our economy, culture and society.

    Labour Minister Bernard Davis is thanking workers in Newfoundland and Labrador for their important contributions towards building a strong workforce in the province. Labour Day is celebrated on September 4th and each year in Canada on the first Monday of September, is a time to reflect and recognize the workforce as the backbone of our communities and thank them for the many worker protections and benefits now accessible to all Canadians. Labour Day acknowledges the tireless efforts of workers and their highly valued work, which form the foundation of our economy, culture and society. Minister Davis says workers demonstrate incredible resilience and dedication each day and workers are critical to the sustainability of a healthy economy and society.
