Half a billion dollars proposed to meet housing needs of Atlantic Canadians

    Atlantic Housing ministers wrapped up meetings last week with the intention to advance solutions for housing challenges.

    A targeted federal investment of $500 million is being proposed to meet the immediate housing needs across Atlantic Canada, a critical step toward ensuring all Atlantic Canadians have access to adequate housing. Atlantic Housing ministers wrapped up meetings last week with the intention to advance solutions for housing challenges. Recognizing that the housing crisis requires a joint effort, Ministers committed to working with the federal government to ensure investments made by the provinces are matched by federal support.
