Coverage for age-related driver medical examinations is retroactive to April 1st and seniors who have been charged for this service will be reimbursed up to the $100 amount of the fee code established by government and the Newfoundland and Labrador Medical Association.
The cost of driver’s medicals for seniors 75 or older will now be paid for by MCP. Effective immediately, physicians will now bill MCP directly for this service instead of charging patients.
