Government pays the green for green initiatives at the NL Summer Games

    A$60,000 sponsorship has been awarded through the Multi-Materials Stewardship Board (MMSB) Waste Management Trust Fund.

    Government has announced a $60,000 sponsorship, through the Multi-Materials Stewardship Board (MMSB) Waste Management Trust Fund. It’s in support of various green initiatives at the 2024 Newfoundland and Labrador Summer Games. The Games are being hosted by the Town of Bay Roberts August 10-17. Funding will be used to support a variety of green practices across all event categories. These games are the province's premier multi-sport event for approximately 1,600 young athletes aged 11 to 18.
