Government grant available for children with disabilities to go to summer camp

    The Summer Camp Inclusion Grant provides up to $1,000 for families of children with disabilities, and up to $5,000 for organizations that operate summer camps.

    Government is making it easier for children with disabilities to go to summer camp. A $150K grant is available to help cover the cost of hiring a support person and this includes an inclusion worker, caregiver, attendant, sign language interpreter, a camp staff member or someone identified by the family. The Summer Camp Inclusion Grant provides up to $1,000 for families of children with disabilities, and up to $5,000 for organizations that operate summer camps.
