Government commits to $4M to help low-income renters stay housed

    NLHC’s current waitlist is just over 2,600 and this funding will help reduce it by about 20 per cent.

    Starting this year, government is putting an extra $4M aside to help low-income renters stay housed. This will mean 500 more households can be eligible for the Canada-Newfoundland and Labrador Housing Benefits. NLHC’s current waitlist is just over 2,600 and this funding will help reduce it by about 20 per cent.
