Funding for Kindergarten eye exams

    Between March and April of this year, 892 students have had a full comprehensive eye exam under the program. 

    Government announced more funding today so September Kindergarten students can get money towards a comprehensive eye exam. $150,000 was given to the Newfoundland and Labrador Association of Optometrists to continue the Eye See Eye Learn Program. There are 63 optometrist members practicing in the province and between March and April of this year, 892 students have had a full comprehensive eye exam under the program.
