Darin King says it's too good of a project to let go.
Former Business Minister Darin King still has hope the Bay du Nord project will go ahead. Equionor announced it was shelving the 9 year project when the province was hosting the annual Energy NL Conference and Exhibition show in St. John’s, and a day after amendments to the Atlantic Accord were made to include offshore wind development. King moved from politics to the trade sector in 2016. He was in Corner Brook yesterday for the opening of a new Trades NL office. King says it’s too good of a project to ignore and believes it will happen. He says there are other projects, with opportunities like the World Energy GH2 project near Stephenville. About 95 percent of Trades NL are employed and King says there’s never been a better time to have a trade.
