Student Carly McLennon says it’s part of their Environmental Citizenship Course.
Motorists along Riverside Drive in Corner Brook will notice some brightly colored people cleaning the area today. A group of students from the Fish and Wildlife Technician Program at the College of the North Atlantic will be doing a clean up between 8:30 and 11-30 this morning. Student Carly McLennon says it’s part of their Environmental Citizenship Course. McLennon is a hunter and fisher who spends a lot of time outdoors. She says Riverside Drive is a busy area with plenty of walkers. McLennon says garbage and debris from this area can also end up in the Humber River. The students will be graded on the project.
