Fire broke out around 7 a.m. Saturday morning.
Fire has destroyed a landmark building in Deer Lake.
This morning at approximately 7 a.m., RCMP officers responded to a structure fire at the Driftwood Inn on Nicholsville Road near Main St. Out of an abundance of caution due to a large propane tank on site, officers have evacuated nearby residences and continue to have a presence.
