RNC ask people to keep an eye out for the latest email scam

RNC are asking people to be on the lookout for an email scam that has targeted the Royal Canadian Legion in St. John's. Cst. James Cadigan says they were called to the Legion around 9 o’clock this morning. He says an email account at the Legion was hacked and so was the contact list. Cst. Cadigan says these disguised criminal networks ask for money transfers or gift cards. He says there have been no reports of people actually falling for this scam, but others could be contacted. Cst. Cadigan says if people suspect a scam they should contact police.
