The Deer Lake Red Wings have decided to leave the WCSHL and form a Central West Senior Hockey League.
A bit of a shocker today with an overnight news release issued by the West Coast Senior Hockey League. It states, the Deer Lake Red Wings have decided to leave the WCSHL and form a Central West Senior Hockey League. Tony Buckle is a board executive and President of the Corner Brook Royals. He says two members from each club in Deer Lake, Corner Brook and Port aux Basques make the decisions. He’s not sure why this happened. Meanwhile, Buckle says the Corner Brook Royals are hoping to find a solution soon. He says they hope to start the season in November.
