The 38 year old has been powerlifting for the past ten years.
Special Olympian Daniel Moores boarded the plane in Deer Lake this weekend, heading out to take part in the Special Olympics being held in Germany here this month. His father, Len Moores, says Daniel is 38 years old and has been involved with Special Olympics for up to 25 years now. He says Daniel has been competing in powerlifting for the past 10 years. Moores says saw his bag packed he started to get excited and he was awake and ready to go at 3am. Daniel is set to compete sometime between June 19th -24th. Moores says Daniel has been following a training program designed by Jackie Barrett, who has World games experience. He says Daniel is scheduled to be home June 26th. Meanwhile, he’s heading out on Friday to watch Daniel in competition.
