Corner Brook city council approved another change order for the Mount Bernard Avenue Reconstruction project in the amount of nearly $96,000. At Monday night’s public meeting, Councillor Charles Pender says this change order will cover the cost of items and unit prices that were not originally included in the contract. Councillor Vaughn Granter says some residents are concerned about the extra traffic leading to Margaret Bowater Park in light of construction on Mount Bernard. Acting City Manager, Darren Charters, says the project is making good progress. Previous change orders on the project have come at a cost of just over $251,000.
