An 18 year old ended up in hospital and had his license suspended after a single-vehicle crash Friday afternoon.

Corner Brook RCMP arrived at the scene, near Steady Brook, where they found evidence that the driver was traveling at an excessive speed and in a dangerous manner just before the collision.

Corporal Jolene Garland says the driver had a class 5 level II licence and failed a roadside breath test. She says a female passenger in the vehicle was also injured. The vehicle was seized as part of the police investigation
