Corner Brook offers to match donations up to $500 for employees to "take the plunge"

    This fundraiser for the Special Olympics is taking place April 6th at Tipping’s Pond in Massey Drive.

    The city of Corner Brook  has issued a challenge for firefighters and municipal police to sign up for the 2025 West Coast Polar Plunge. This fundraiser for the Special Olympics is taking place April 6th at Tipping’s Pond in Massey Drive. At Monday’s public meeting, Councillor Pamela Keeping says the city has always been a strong supporter of the Special Olympics and the city will match employees' donations up to $500. So far, two city municipal enforcement officers have signed up for the event.
