Corner Brook city hall recently rescinded a stop work order that had been issued on Pratt Street after the owner obtained the proper permit.
At this week’s public meeting at Corner Brook city hall, council rescinded a stop work order that had been issued on Pratt Street. Councillor Bill Griffin says the stop work order was issued to a property owner for constructing a retaining wall and altering the site grading of the property without the required building permit. This stop work order required the property owner to restore the site to its original condition or obtain the necessary building permit. City staff issued a building permit once all required information was presented to the City of Corner Brook. Mayor Jim Parsons says there haven’t been many stop work orders issued this year and they are resolved quickly. The Mayor was speaking on Bayfm.
