Mayor Jim Parsons says there is land in the Watson’s Pond area but with limited water and sewer services currently.

The city of Corner Brook is running out of Industrial Park space. Mayor Jim Parsons says they used to accept proposals on a first-come-first served basis. He says the land was available for $32,000 per acre and last year we went to Request For Proposals for the remaining parcels. Parsons says the idea is to bring businesses in to support the economy and generate tax revenue for the city. Parsons says the plan is to develop more industrial lots. He says there is land in the Watson’s Pond area but with limited water and sewer services currently.
