Everyone is invited out tomorrow for the city of Corner Brook’s Preparedness Day.
There will be a FireSmart Safety demonstration at Margaret Bowater Park. The day will also include a BBQ and Sparky the dog will be there for pictures with the kids. Deputy Fire Chief Derek Simmons says the FireSmart Program is a national initiative designed to identify where dangers can be and how to reduce risks.
Tomorrow’s event at the park takes place between 11am and 4pm. There will be tools provided, such as shovels, rakes and wheelbarrows.
