The cold temperatures have been keeping city crews busy in Corner Brook. Sand trucks were out early this morning as the temperature hovered around the minus twenties. Mayor Jim Parsons joined Lenny Benoit on Bayfm this morning. He says city snow blowers will soon be making the rounds. Parsons says motorists need to be careful at intersections. Young people in western NL now have better local access to services for mental health, primary care, housing, employment, and community support. Becket Western NL, a new Integrated Youth Services (IYS) hub, has officially opened.

The RNC pulled him over around 2 p.m. on Tuesday after getting a tip of a possible impaired driver at a convenience store on First Avenue.
Channel-Port aux Basques RCMP and Traffic Services West took three vehicles off the road and laid charges during a traffic initiative late last week.
On April 9th just after 9 a.m., police tried to stop an off-road vehicle on the Main Road in Oregans. The operator was not wearing a helmet, refused to stop and fled from police at a high rate of speed. The next day, RCMP arrested a 19-year-old man in Millville.
