The city’s share of the project is just over $3.6M.
At Monday’s public meeting, Corner Brook city council awarded a contract for a consultant on the over $13M Curling/Westside Reservoir and Transmission Main project. This will mean 300 more homes can connect to the water distribution system. At the meeting, Councillor Donna Luther says this project is funded under the Canada Housing Infrastructure Fund (CHIF) and consists of building a new water storage tank, water pumping station and 2,400 meters of transmission main to expand the City's Water distribution system.
Close to $750K was awarded to CBCL Ltd. Assistant Director of Engineering, Aaron O’Brien, says they were pleased with the estimate. The city’s share of the project is just over $3.6M.
