A car wash and rental business was given the green light by Corner Brook city hall last week. The building located at 26 Union Street is in a light industrial zone. The proposal was listed on the city’s website on July 17th giving the general public a chance to express concerns and they received only one response against the proposed development. It was due to the fact the applicant has been operating the proposed business from this location in the past without the proper permit and the respondent felt this should be denied. The applicant was given approval by the City of Corner Brook to operate the current Vape Shop at this location in January of 2022. Last summer, the business started renting a couple of vehicles. Since that time the number of vehicles being rented have increased and a car wash has been added.
