Funding will be used for employment purposes.
Immigration Minister Gerry Byrne has announced funding for several projects in the Bay of Islands area. He says this money will be used to support community projects. $125,000 is going to the Corner Brook Stream Trail Development to hire 4 people. Byrne says the second project is with the NL Railway Society itself and 2 people will be hired with a $40,000 investment. He says $30,000 is headed to the Outer Bay of Islands Enhancement Committee to hire 4 people for work on the Murray Trail. Byrne says these investments enhance the beauty and attraction of the Bay of Islands and create employment.
