Atlantic Ministers meet to discuss housing

    The ministers discussed topics of mutual concern, such as access to housing, affordability and supporting vulnerable populations.

    Atlantic ministers responsible for housing met yesterday to talk about access to housing. The ministers discussed topics of mutual concern, such as access to housing, affordability and supporting vulnerable populations. They all agreed to continue to advocate for flexible funding from the Federal Government. Housing ministers agreed to advance a regional approach to drive innovation and productivity in housing construction. NL Housing Minister Paul Pike says “the meeting provided an opportunity to learn from each other and discuss best practices, innovative ideas, funding initiatives as well as identify opportunities to align and advance the priorities common across the Atlantic region.”
