    An 82 year old man dies in a house fire in Fleur de Lys

    Firefighters battled the fire and heavy smoke which had fully engulfed the home. The structure was destroyed.

    An 82-year-old man has died following a fire at a Fleur de Lys home on Thursday. RCMP say shortly after 10:in the morning, they responded to the Main Street residence. Firefighters battled the fire and heavy smoke which had fully engulfed the home. The structure was destroyed. An elderly male occupant was located deceased inside the home as a result of the fire. The investigation into the cause of the fire is continuing.
