Mayor Brian Button says there’s still a lot of work to be done and they’re still talking with federal and provincial funding agencies.
It was one year ago yesterday that Hurricane Fiona struck the Port aux Basques area and swept one person out to sea. The town marked the date yesterday and Mayor Brian Button joined Bayfm’s Lenny Benoit to talk about the past year. He says there’s still a lot of work to be done and they’re still talking with federal and provincial funding agencies. Button says about 300 homes in the region were damaged during the storm.
