Areas with 40 or more centimeters of snow cover, seasonal roads (Adam’s, McKenzie’s, Berry Hill, and Lomond Roads) and commonly used snowmobile trails remain open.

The snowmobiling season in Gros Morne National Park has been delayed again due to lack of consistent freezing temperatures and inadequate snow cover.  Areas with 40 or more centimeters of snow cover, seasonal roads (Adam’s, McKenzie’s, Berry Hill, and Lomond Roads) and commonly used snowmobile trails remain open.  The tentative date for the full opening of the resident snowmobile season is now January 19th.
