Grenfell Vice President Dr. Ian Sutherland says the incident has been contained to the campus.
Grenfell Campus has been dealing with a cyber security attack and it’s a first for the facility. Information technology services were taken offline on December 29th and an investigation was launched right away. In a statement released on New Year’s Eve, the university said the incident has been reported to law enforcement. Grenfell Vice President Dr. Ian Sutherland says the incident has been contained to the campus. He says they’re still investigating how this could have happened and are unsure what information was accessed. Sutherland says Grenfell Campus is committed to the security of all data and anyone affected will be contacted. Students will return to in person classes at Grenfell on Monday and online courses have started.
