Police are waiting on toxicology reports to determine if a charge will be laid.
A 58-year-old Mount Pearl man has been arrested for drug-impaired driving after a crash on the Trans-Canada Highway near Witless Bay Line. RCMP say it happened just before 3 o’clock on Tuesday. Police say a transport truck with a trailer in tow had jackknifed across the westbound lanes of the TCH and ended up in the median. RCMP say the driver and lone occupant were not injured but they suspected he was impaired by a drug. Police are waiting on toxicology reports to determine if a charge will be laid. The driver’s license was suspended.
