RCMP have charged Jimmy-Lee Andrew Parsons with transmitting child pornography.
Police say the 39 year-old Shearstown man was arrested April 29. Police searched a home in Shearstown a year ago and seized a number of electronic items and sent them for forensic analysis. As a result, RCMP arrested Parsons who was released to appear in court June 8th.
Police say “child pornography cases require complex forensic examination of seized electronics, followed by additional investigation actions. Consequently, criminal charges in these cases are often laid 9-12 months after the execution of a search warrant.”
