Stella Cobb says there are 7 local restaurants taking part in a Burger Competition and one dollar of each burger sold will be donated.
When Stella Cobb of 12 Months 12 Miracles heard the news about the destruction of items for the Corner Brook Fire Department Toy Drive, she was quick to call Bayfm to offer help. Thousands of dollars worth of toys were destroyed after a storage area was broken into. Cobb says there are 7 local restaurants taking part in a Burger Competition and one dollar of each burger sold will be donated. “The restaurant chooses a burger from the menu or creates one of their own,” she says. “They keep a count of how many burgers are sold during the time frame, and donates one dollar from each one sold to the 12 Months 12 Miracles Vine Place Community Centre initiative.”
Cobb says some local businesses team up and match donations. She says there are 7 restaurants vying for the title of the Best Burger. Cobb says last year they raised $16,000 in 30 days. She says Pafford Glass has teamed up to match donations at one of the restaurants, and she is looking for more businesses and restaurants to take part.
