Unifor Local 64 workers have planned a march and rally this Friday to highlight opportunities that CBPP and Project Tuckamore can bring to the forestry sector. At a time of uncertainty across the country, the event will focus on how innovation, research and investment can help create opportunities, support workers and strengthen rural communities.
Friday morning at 9:30 will include a march through the mill gate and into the Centre for Resource and Innovation front parking lot where the rally will be held. Speakers will include union reps, Kruger’s VP-Special Projects, and MP Carol Anstey. The march and rally are part of Unifor’s Forestry National Day of Action, with events are taking place in more than 30 forestry communities
