Cause of collision that injured person and closed a road on the Port au Port Peninsula for hours is still under investigation

Police continue to investigate a two-vehicle collision on the Port au Port Peninsula on Wednesday that injured one person and closed Lourdes Road. At around 6:30 a.m., Bay St. George RCMP responded to the scene on Route 463, about 2kms north of Picadilly. Both drivers were assessed at the scene and traffic was detoured for several hours. The cause of the collision has not been determined.
