Canada Day Events in Corner Brook
Tuesdays with the Mayor
Monday, 30 June 2025 - 9 minutes
Please join us in Civic Square (City Hall, 5 Park St) on July 1 for our annual Canada Day flag raising ceremony. This year will be extra special, as we have the honour of welcoming the 2025 Canada Games torch through City streets on its way to St. John’s.
After the flag has been raised, the torch will make its way to the Civic Centre studio where we hope you’ll join us for a community breakfast hosted by the Western NL YMCA at 10:00 a.m.
If you can’t make it, no worries! Activities for all ages will be going on all day at the Margaret Bowater Park. From 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. there will be live entertainment, face painting, a bouncy castle and the outdoor pool and splash pad will open for the season! City Council and invited guests will also cut a celebratory cake at 1:45 p.m.
Music will continue through the evening beginning at 5:30 p.m., ending with a fireworks display at 10:15 p.m. Corner Brook Mayor Jim Parsons speaks with Bay Fm's Lenny Benoit
