The RCMP held a news conference on Saturday, December 16 into their investigation into the disappearance of Jennifer Hillier-Penny.
Dean Penney has been arrested and charged with first degree murder in the death of Jennifer Hillier-Penney. The woman was least seen in November of 2016. Penney was picked up in Deer Lake around noon yesterday and is appearing in wash court this afternoon. No remains have been found but RCMP say there is sufficient evidence to lay the charge. The 50-year-old man will be appearing in Corner Brook Provincial Court for future hearings.
