Corner Brook Mayor Jim Parsons and his reaction to the 2026 Corner Brook Summer Games annoucement

Corner Brook has been selected to host the 2026 Newfoundland and Labrador Summer Games. Tourism, Culture, Arts and Recreation Minister Steve Crocker waa at the Civic Centre to make the announcement.
As the largest multi-sport event in the province, the Games welcome close to 1,600 athletes, coaches and staff and involves approximately 500 active and dedicated volunteers.
Mayor Jim Parsons says Corner Brook has a long storied history of hosting major sports events and continues to invest in recreation and health living. He joined Lenny Benoit on Bay Fm to talk more about how this will benefit the region.
