Some people trying to pay their bill with Western Regional Waste Management may be finding it hard these days, especially in light of recent labour disruptions at Canada Post. Regional Outreach Officer Lynn Howse says although the mail is moving again, it can be slow during this transition and they’ve been getting a lot of calls asking how people can pay their bills. Howse says people can pay at the admin office or online. WRWM recently launched a Vape recycling program with disposal bins at their 6 transfer stations and Howse says it’s getting a lot of attention.
Meanwhile there are 3 seasonal public drop off locations in West Bay, Portland Creek and Bonne Bay, which are open during the summers to drop off waste. Residents in those areas have this Saturday, October 25th, to get rid of that waste from 9 a.m. until 5p .m.
