It’s a year away, but organizers are working towards forming a host committee for the 2026 NL Summer Games coming to Corner Brook. Jonathan Snow started as Games Chair in June and says the week-long event will bring 1600 athletes, as well as family, friends and coaches to the city. He says that means upwards of 5,000 people. Snow says within a month they will be hiring the only paid employee, a Games Manager, as everyone else is a volunteer. He says they each play a part. Snow says volunteers from Stephenville are also needed since Corner Brook does not have a track. For more information go to nlgames.ca
