Woman found dead inside submerged vehicle in the ocean near the New World island causeway last night

    The RCMP NL Underwater Recovery Team (URT) was called in and divers located the vehicle in the ocean last night.

    A 43-year-old woman is dead after being found inside a submerged vehicle near the New World island causeway last night. Twillingate RCMP received a call about debris from a vehicle on a roadway early yesterday morning. The RCMP NL Underwater Recovery Team (URT) was called in and divers located the vehicle in the ocean last night. It was removed by a crane. The Chief Medical Examiner and a collision analyst are involved in this ongoing investigation.
