People can choose to pick up at 35 Carolina Avenue in Stephenville, or 329 Main Street in St. George’s.
Starting today, people in Stephenville and St. George’s areas can go online and order locally produced eggs, cheese, fresh vegetables, seafood, meats, baked goods and more. It’s the result of a new partnership between the Western NL Food Hub and the People of the Dawn Indigenous Friendship Centre. Richard Butt is the Western NL Food Hub Coordinator with Food First NL. He says they are basically an online Farmers Market with products from more than 30 producers in NL.
Devon Ryan is with the People of the Dawn Indigenous Friendship Centre. He says Bay St. George covers a large area and “This partnership with the Western NL Food Hub allows families in our region to efficiently shop local fresh foods and we are thrilled to be a part of this amazing service.”
