Over the past couple of weeks, there’s been a massive uptake with the usage of a new app which tells people how to sort trash destined for the dump. The Waste Wizard” is a tool to search blue bag or clear, glass, electronics, and more. Western Regional Waste Management’s outreach coordinator Lynn Howse says it’s really catching on. She says one inquiry over the past week was what to do with take away containers. She says if they’re contaminated in any way they go in the garbage, and pizza boxes, other than those from the grocery stores, should also be trashed. Howse says take out coffee or tea cups can be put in the blue bag. Meanwhile, she says anyone changing tires and needing to get rid of rims, they can be dropped off free of charge.
