The Corner Brook fire department has helped a firefighter from Ukraine find employment here. Stanislav spoke to reporters yesterday with the help of a translator. He served as a firefighter in Ukraine for more than 14 years and spent a month training here. Stanislav says he wanted to be a firefighter since he was a teen. He says he and his family really like Corner Brook and would like to stay here.
