The RNC handed out multiple tickets for various offenses during checkpoints in Meadows, Benoit’s Cove and Pasadena this past weekend. Officers were looking for impaired drivers and ensuring valid license, insurance and registration. On Friday night around 8:30, a 36-year-old man was stopped on Humber Road in Corner Brook. He was charged with impaired driving, his license was suspended and his vehicle was seized. Another traffic safety stop in Corner Brook just before 4 a.m on Saturday (Dec. 20) in the Park Street area resulted in impaired driving charges for a 33-year-old woman from Pasadena. She too had her license suspended and vehicle seized. She was released to appear in court at a later date.
