The 18U Atlantic Championships and the 12U girls provincials are set to head to the diamond.

Jubilee Field in Corner Brook will see plenty of action this weekend as two baseball tournaments will be taking place. The 18U Atlantic Championships and the 12U girls provincials are set to head to the diamond. Jason Mosher is the President of the Corner Brook Baseball Association. He joined Bayfm’s Lenny Benoit and says they planned for this at the beginning of the season. Mosher says the  girls tournament kicks off tomorrow at 9 a.m at little Jubilee field. Andrew Gillard is the catcher for the host 18U squad, the Barons, who are the defending Atlantic champions and  just came back from St. John’s after winning the provincials. He says they’ve accomplished a lot over the past couple of years and are ready for this weekend. Playoffs will take place on Sunday. Five atlantic teams are playing in the U18 division and 12U girls have six teams.
