Traffic is bound to be busy in the University Drive area of Corner Brook this weekend

    Hockey tournament, a play, basketball provincials, and a swim meet all taking place in the area starting tonight.

    University Drive will be a busy route this weekend as there are several major events taking place at the Arts and Culture Centre, the Civic Centre, and at Corner Brook Regional High. Dean Clarke has the details. At 7:30 tonight and tomorrow night, the play "Oliver” takes to the stage at the Arts and Culture Centre. The Corner Brook Rapids swim meet will be on the go all weekend also at the Arts and Culture Centre. Just across the street, at Corner Brook Regional High, players will be vying for a spot in the 4A basketball provincials all weekend. Just up the street at the Civic Centre will be the AAA Female hockey tournament all weekend and NL’s best West Coast St. Patrick’s Day party with Shanneyganock Biggest St. Patrick’s Day party is Saturday night. Parking lots will fill up fast so it’s best to carpool or even call a cab
