Tractor trailer overturns on Route 202 and police find $2.4 million worth of illegal cigarettes

    Also, a case of pre-rolled illicit cannabis was located and seized

    More than 7 million contraband cigarettes  worth more than $2.4 million were seized by Whitbourne RCMP from an overturned tractor trailer last week.  On Thursday, (April 17) police searched the truck and trailer on Route 202 to determine the amount of cigarettes. Also, a case of pre-rolled illicit cannabis was located and seized. The investigation is continuing and a 53-year-old Ontario man faces charges.
