Mayor Jim Parsons says there was a good response from residents.
Corner Brook residents have until tomorrow (Friday) to drop off bulk garbage at the Wild Cove landfill site without having to pay a fee. This can also include demolition or construction waste. The city added this as a new option during this year’s annual spring clean up. Appointments to pick up bulk waste at the curb was also a new option this year. Mayor Jim Parsons says there was a good response from residents. He says they also had to adjust the way people disposed of yard waste at the Third Pond Access. Parsons says by the end of this week they should have completed all bulk garbage pick ups at curbside for the year.
