Three men were arrested by RCMP-RNC Joint Forces Operation (JFO) West after a traffic stop near Corner Brook on August 6, 2025 resulted in the seizure of cocaine and illicit prescription medications. They have each been charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking cocaine.
On Wednesday afternoon, JFO West, RCMP’s General Investigation Section West and officers from the Royal Newfoundland Constabulary executed a traffic stop near Corner Brook as part of an ongoing investigation.
During a search of the vehicle, officers seized a number of items including a quantity of cocaine, unauthorized prescription medication and other items consistent with possession for the purposes of trafficking.
Three men were arrested and taken into police custody. They each face a charge of possession for the purpose of trafficking cocaine under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.
The three men were released with conditions and will appear in court at a later date.
The investigation is ongoing.
