On Bayfm with Lenny Benoit and Leif the Lucky, Thomas says he was ready for the fight and got a little help from his mom with making a huge shield.
Eight young leifling hopefuls took to the stage at Sacred heart School on Sunday as part of Corner Brook Winter Carnival’s 18th Leifling contest. Students from k-6 were invited to enter and had to make their own viking costume, answer a few questions form the judges, and take part in a mock sword fight with Leif the Lucky. 6 year old Thomas Crann was selected to be this year’s Leifling, which means he gets top hang out with Leif at carnival events. On Bayfm with Lenny Benoit and Leif the Lucky, Thomas says he was ready for the fight and got a little help from his mom with making a huge shield. The first leifling contest was in 2005.
